What is - Funky Jazz
Funky Jazz taken in the dance context is a combination between what’s happening on the street Hip Hop and different jazz dance techniques. This dance style needs a technical base and a knowledge of street styles. This combination makes up the majority of whats happening with choreography in the music industry at present and has been for the past 10yrs. It is a style that doesn’t stop progressing. It is a very dynamic style of dance and requires a lot of energy and determination. Do you have it? Then come and join in the classes given at:

Why should students come to my classes?
Wendy Gibbins. I have been dancing all my life, I have been choreographing for various artists at different times in their careers ( Helena Paparizou, Anna Vissi, One, Evridiki, Elli Kokinou and Xristos Dantes). After all my experience I have a very clear knowledge of what dance is and needs. Who better to teach the youth than a person who has actually been out there and done it for real. So come and learn from a professional with the experience to teach that real knows the skills.
Class Structure
My class will be a much needed technical hour so that students require a basic technique enabling them to control their bodies, build strength and be able to execute choreography cleanly and precisely with the strength and energy that is needed. Technique also allows a person to go further in the dance world as it gives a student a physical knowledge needed to execute more difficult and impressive moves. Following this hour there will be a 1 hour class to learn and perfect a Funky Jazz choreography to the most popular songs of the moment.
The year will be broken into three periods, learning three different choreographies, with each choreography learned a new level will be passed.
The class will be for specific groups Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.
